Change Begins with Understanding How Your Brain and Body Work

Neuroscience translated into insight you can actually use

Why Insight Matters

Stress isn't weakness. Resilience isn't a personality trait. Both are trainable biology — and that distinction changes everything.
Lasting change is more than finding the right habits or routines. It begins with insight. When you understand how your brain and body respond to experience, you gain leverage: the ability to make change deliberately, adapt when challenges arise, and recognize why something works when it does.

My Approach

For more than three decades, my research and teaching have focused on learning and memory — the core mechanisms by which we adapt, grow, and change. Working across molecular, cellular, systems, and behavioral neuroscience, I developed a systems-level perspective on brain and behavior.
Today, I apply that expertise to wellbeing and resilience, connecting scientific understanding to practical frameworks that illuminate not just what to do, but why it works.
My work integrates neuroscience, physiology, psychology, and contemplative practice to translate complex science into usable insight--shaping everything I write, teach, communicate, and design.
